Biography
Mila Laplante’s every movement tells a story, and every stage she steps on becomes her canvas. Represented by AMTI Management, she is building a professional career across dance, television, modelling, and commercial performance.
In December 2025, Mila expanded into commercial on-camera work as a Commercial Model & On-Camera Talent for Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario. She was cast and successfully completed a promotional shoot, producing video and photographic content for the resort’s website, social media platforms, and potential television advertising, further establishing her presence in the commercial and branding space. Mila is also a Brand Ambassador for PM Photography in Los Angeles, California, combining her love for dance and modelling with growing commercial opportunities.
Alongside her performance career, Mila has developed a growing editorial portfolio. She was featured in Dent Model Magazine (December 2025) and PM Photo Magazine, serving as an Ambassador for Volume 6 and a Business of Dance Mentee for Volume 7. Most recently, she was featured in the February 2026 issue of Relevé Magazine, expanding her visibility within the dance and modelling communities.
In August 2025, she gained international performance experience as a cast member on the reality series That Girl Lola with We The Studios in Los Angeles, California, performing and training in a professional television environment. Beyond competition, she shares her passion with the community, performing annually at the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Gatineau, Quebec, inspiring younger dancers.
Her 2025–2026 competitive season has been exceptional. At her first solo competition of the year in February 2026, Mila was crowned 12 & Under Solo Champion, earning the highest overall score among all 12 & Under soloists, across all styles. She also received the Jazz Grand Award, achieving the highest jazz score of the entire competition, across all age divisions and entry types, including solos, duets, and trios. In addition, she was named Top Dancer, receiving an invitation to compete at Nationals.
In December 2025, she attended the JUMP Dance Convention in Toronto, where she was recognized as a Junior Jump VIP Runner-Up and received an invitation to compete in The Best Dancer Competition in July 2026 (Orlando or Las Vegas) with The Dance Awards. She also earned a full Dance Awards Convention Scholarship, marking the second consecutive year she has received this prestigious invitation and scholarship, demonstrating her consistent excellence and recognition within the industry.
Mila’s competitive career, now in its 10th year, accelerated in 2024–2025 with multiple prestigious scholarships and awards, including the Dance Masters of Canada Convention Scholarship at The Breakthru Dance Challenge, where she was named Dancer with Most Potential. She also earned the Near North Talent Scholarship from Shine Dance Competition and the Terpsichore Dance Convention Scholarship from Terpsichore Dance Celebration. She was a Regional Winner of the Canadian Dance Awards (CDA) Ultimate Challenge and earned invitations to nationals for both Terpsichore Nationals as Top Dancer and the CDA’s America’s Dancer of the Year.
Earlier achievements include earning a scholarship at the 5-6-7-8 Showtime Dance Competition, which led to the Paris Dance Tour in July 2024, where she trained with internationally renowned instructors. She later attended NUVO Dance Convention in Toronto, where she was recognized as a Junior Breakout Artist Runner-Up, earning a full convention scholarship to The Dance Awards and an invitation to compete for The Best Dancer in Orlando, Florida.
Mila trains extensively in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and tap. Known for her musicality, expression, and storytelling, she blends technical precision with emotional depth. With discipline, versatility, and passion driving her forward, Mila continues to grow as both a performer and an artist, pursuing expanded opportunities in dance, modelling, television, and commercial work.
